A subscription to the website is not free, but it is definitely worth the money. For $100 dollars a year you get access to the daily email pearls, lectures from EM conferences, and the EMCAST podcast.
Scott Weingart is a FOAM leader and creator of the EMCRIT website and podcast. The motto of EMCRIT is “bringing upstairs care downstairs” which emphasizes the resuscitation and management of critically ill patients down in the emergency department.
The website, with a correlating podcast, focuses on evidence based emergency medicine. The site has practice guidelines for management of all types of patients that present to the emergency department. The site is a paid subscription unless you are a resident.
4. R.E.B.E.L EM
A great website and podcast that keeps you up to date on EM topics. The site is run by Salim Rezaie who is an EM doc out of Texas. The site breaks down the most up to date literature in emergency medicine.
5. CORE EM
The website and podcast focus on bringing “core content to anyone, anywhere, and just in time”. Anand Swaminathan is one of the leaders in the FOAM world and is the content developer of the site. The site has high yield core content.
6. EM DOC’S WEBSITE
This website has countless articles written and reviewed by EM docs all over the country. I don’t think there is a topic that has not been covered on this website. They cover high yield topics that are a must know for any EM doc.
7. DR SMITH’S ECG BLOG
Dr. Steve Smith is another guru in Ecg Interpretation. He is an established EM doc out in Hennepin and has done a lot of research on electrocardiography. The blog site brings you cases with discussions on all Ecg topics.
